As yesterday was a pretty quiet day in Casa Zamboni, with me working like crazy to close product launch for today (there’s my review below), today I want to continue telling the story of Somma Lombardo, that city I really love in north of Italy. In ancient times, when there was a king in the Somma Lombardo’s castle, knights of the castle were sleeping just in my house during the winter nights, when there was my great-grandparents. Being two floors, there were 6 rooms for them. By the other side of the courtyard there was a cobbler specialized in creating wooden clogs, with a constant queue of people outside his shop. His name was Angelo, and was living there with his sister Cornelia and brother Ambrogio. The first two are living yet. Below you can see my dog in the courtyard when we cared about it with flowers… Now, after some years in Bellaria, everything is gone, apart the kaki tree and the oleander.
If you want another curiosity, a lot of people, including me, has seen spirits in that courtyard, including a knight with horse, a red-clothings old woman with a red hat (that asked me where the cobbler was into my courtyard), the matron of my great-grandparents and many many more including “the head of a demon” flying over… Since the time my great-grandparents disappeared, no one has ever entered the cellar… For this reason there are two recesses with two statues of Virgin Mary. These stories are common of that area, and I wouldn’t trust them if when I was a child I wouldn’t have seen them, flying in a myst in front of me. Years later I discovered one of the ghosts I’ve seen more oftenly was the mattress of the house, as I seen her in an old time photo.
