You probably know that Google decided to stop RSS support closing up Google Reader on July. Google Alert will be probably shut down the same date, because it supports RSS.How to live without Google Alert? Is that possible? Absolutely!

TalkWalker is the website you need! It’s totally free, and it provides a better service than Google Alert one!
It provides RSS support, it send you many updates through the day, so no more delays.
And it’s easy as Google Alert to setup!

Just enter the website, and click the header link “Create Free Alert”.

After you click, you will be brought to “Alert Creation” page:

So you can setup your alert as you prefer, inserting:

• “Search query” is the keyword you want to target
• “Result type”, which result you want to see, including everything, news, blogs and discussions.
• “Language”, as you have a lot of languages to receive news on.
• “How often”, that supports “As it happens”, “Once a day” or “Once a Month”.
• “How many”, to select “All results”, or “Only the best results”.
• Your email to receive the updates.

My final tip is to enter an email created just for alerts, because you will receive around 5 to 10 email a day for each keyword, depending on the number of the news.
